We mixed up clay, water, lime, and moss to make "chinking."
We had lots of help putting mud in the cracks.
A rather messy business!
Chinking around the doors, windows, and corners was tricky.
The chinking looks better as it dries, although it's cracking a little bit. We may have to put a little more mud on later to smooth it out.
The cabin on August 1, 2009. Next, we will cover the gable ends and build a door!
